In the heart of Cologne in Germany, a special kind of energy filled the air as AMCO’s UK team arrived to meet their colleagues from the DACH region. What began with snacks, drinks, and cheerful introductions quickly turned into days full of knowledge sharing, curiosity, and genuine connection.
Managing Directors Thomas Reisinger (DACH) and Dean Harper (UK&I) set an inspiring tone as they addressed the cohort, sharing exciting updates on OneStream, AMCO policies, and their teams, while emphasizing the value of resource sharing and the true power of collaboration.
Soon, everyone was working side by side—sharing desks, swapping stories of project triumphs, reflecting on the inevitable hiccups, and celebrating the creative solutions that carried them forward. Between coffee breaks and light-hearted chats, the spirit of teamwork truly came alive.
The DACH team proudly shared their mission and vision and offered insights into how they approach the unique rules and opportunities of the German-speaking market. It was more than just an update; it was an invitation to see their work through a new lens, sparking conversations and fresh perspectives among the UK colleagues.
On the final evening, as the day drew to a close, the group began their last adventure at a lively gaming arena, where excitement filled the atmosphere. They fought off waves of zombies in virtual reality, raced each other in high-speed car simulations, tested their aim with axe throwing, and enjoyed playful rounds of mini golf. Energised and cheerful from the friendly competition, they stepped outside just in time to enjoy the sunset behind the Kölner Dom (Cologne Cathedral).
Gathering at a traditional German restaurant, the team experienced the evening’s warmth and camaraderie reaching their peak. Plates of crispy Schweinshaxe, potato Rösti, and pillowy Knödel, accompanied by refreshing glasses of Kölsch and an array of flavorful dishes, filled the table. The atmosphere was alive with chatter, laughter, and the unmistakable sound of glasses clinking—“Prost!”—echoing through the evening.
The dinner was more than just a meal; it was a celebration of collaboration, culture, and connection. The conversations lingered, the laughter grew louder, and the bonds forged over the past days became even stronger.
