Product Engineer

Overview

We are looking to hire a Product Engineer within our Product Development practice. In this role, you will enhance our suite of existing and future solutions via a controlled product development process within a team of Product Owners and other development and testing experts.

Job Description

Create scalable, high-performance software solutions by developing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to industry standards and promotes reusability and efficiency.
Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements for existing software solutions to ensure they meet evolving business needs and maintain high performance over time.
Proactively suggest options for solutions that make the feature easy to use and improve customer experience.
Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure software functionality and reliability.
Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure proper testing of software applications and resolve any identified issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, implementation consultants and system architects to gather and analyze software requirements.
Develop and maintain technical design and architecture documentation to serve as a reference for future developments.
Develop technical expertise on OneStream software. Successful applicants will receive OneStream training necessary to excel in this role.

Requirements and Qualifications

A relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer systems, IT & Management or Finance.
At least 3 years of experience working within software development industry and demonstrable knowledge of SDLC processes and working in agile teams.
Proficient in .NET development using Microsoft Visual Studio and/or related tools, with experience in languages such as VB.Net and C#.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps for managing source control, including branching strategies, pull requests, repository management, and code reviews.
Demonstrable experience working with Microsoft SQL Server Database for database management, SQL query analysis and optimization.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and troubleshoot software issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with tax reporting, lease accounting, consolidation, financial reporting, sustainability reporting (ESG) and planning is desirable but not mandatory, although it is expected that relevant basic knowledge regarding these domains and others which would be relevant within AMCO would be learned and embraced as necessary to oversee quality solutions.
