The Proposal Manager has a pivotal role within the Department Support Team, directly contributing to the organization’s growth and success. Proposal Development:
• Lead the proposal development process from inception to final submission.
• Coordinate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather necessary information and input for proposals.
• Ensure that all proposals meet the stipulated guidelines and requirements of the clients.
Project Management:
• Establish proposal timelines and manage the proposal schedule to meet submission deadlines.
• Track and document the proposal process and incorporate feedback into proposals.
Communications:
• Communicate with internal stakeholders to gather insights and ensure alignment of proposal strategies.
• Engage with clients as needed to clarify requirements and expectations.
Content Management:
• Create and maintain a repository of proposal templates, best practices, and other resources to streamline future proposal efforts.
• Edit and proofread proposals for clarity, accuracy, and impact.
Strategic Planning:
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify key opportunities and develop strategies.
• Analyze past proposals and client feedback to refine future proposal approaches.
Training and Development:
Conduct training sessions for team members on proposal management processes and tools.
Reporting:
• Prepare regular reports for the Head of Department Support Team on the status of proposals and wins/losses.
• Monitor pipeline activities and contribute to forecasting and planning efforts.
Continuous Improvement
• Stay updated on industry best practices, proposal trends, and changing client requirements.
• Gather feedback from sales team and internal stakeholders to enhance the quality, effectiveness, and success rates of bids.
• Discover ways to optimize and automate the bid execution process.
• Collaborate with "Proposal Champions" to help develop and improve proposal templates, tools, and resources.
The Proposal Manager will play a key role in coordinating, preparing, and delivering high-quality proposals in response to RFx processes [Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), etc.], and other business opportunities. This position requires exceptional writing skills, project management capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the proposal process, the ability to manage tight deadlines, and a commitment to excellence.
This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing proposal timelines, leading proposal strategy discussions, and refining proposal content to enhance the quality of submissions. The Proposal Manager will play a key role in securing new business opportunities and contributing to the growth of the organization.
Reporting to the Head of Department Support Team, the Proposal Manager will work closely with the Global Sales team to oversee the development and submission of proposals, ensuring that all proposals are compliant with customer requirements and aligned with the organization’s strategic objective.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, or a related field; or relevant certifications (e.g., APMP) is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in proposal management, business development, or a related role; demonstrated success in leading proposal efforts.

• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously.

• Proficiency in proposal management software and collaboration tools.
