QA Engineer

Overview

We are looking to hire a QA Engineer within our Product Development department. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by designing and executing test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and verifying that all features function as intended. You will also contribute to test automation efforts and help ensure our solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements

Job Description

Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure software meets specified requirements.
Create and manage test data sets that simulate real-world scenarios to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Identify, document, and manage bugs using issue tracking tools, collaborating with developers to ensure timely resolution.
Execute functional, regression, integration, and unit testing to ensure individual components and end-to-end systems perform as expected, and that new changes do not introduce defects.
Conduct compatibility and performance testing to validate that the product operates reliably and efficiently across supported versions of the enterprise platform.
Apply QA practices that support audit readiness and conform to best practices in enterprise software governance and standards.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the software development lifecycle and product quality.
Identify and implement process automations with the goal of improving efficiency and quality of QA processes.
Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure proper testing of software applications and resolve any identified issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, implementation consultants and support teams to clarify requirements, share feedback, and ensure alignment on quality goals.
Develop technical expertise on OneStream software. Successful applicants will receive OneStream training necessary to excel in this role.

Requirements and Qualifications

A relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer systems, IT & Management or Finance.
At least 3 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing roles, preferably within enterprise software or EPM/CPM platforms such as OneStream.
Demonstrable experience working within software development industry, with solid knowledge of SDLC, version control, deployment processes and agile team environments.
Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
Experience with test automation frameworks is highly valued but not mandatory.
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes including functional, regression, integration, unit testing, compatibility and performance testing across platform versions.
Demonstrable experience working with Microsoft SQL Server Database for database management, SQL query analysis and optimization.
Familiarity with the .NET framework, including programming languages such as VB.Net and C#, is beneficial for collaborating with the development teams but not mandatory.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and troubleshoot software issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with tax reporting, lease accounting, consolidation, financial reporting, sustainability reporting (ESG) and planning is desirable but not mandatory, although it is expected that relevant basic knowledge regarding these domains and others which would be relevant within AMCO would be learned and embraced as necessary to oversee quality solutions.
