Last December 13, as the city lights twinkled and carols filled the air, the AMCO team chose to celebrate Christmas not just with ornaments and gifts—but with purpose, compassion, and heart.
Beyond their day-to-day work, our Department Support Team came together to take part in a meaningful outreach initiative for 30 children from the BYSMP Bless the Children Foundation in Tondo, Manila. More than an act of giving, the day became a shared celebration of community, learning, and care.
This was not AMCO’s first visit to BYSMP. Earlier in 2024, our team hosted a birthday party for children celebrating their special day in December. That experience left a deep impression—witnessing the children’s smiles, energy, and resilience inspired us to do more.
So, when the holiday season came around in 2025, the goal was clear: to bring the magic of Christmas directly to them. The outreach was made even more meaningful by the generosity of our colleagues across Europe, who rallied behind the cause with warm hearts and open hands. Their donations allowed us to expand the event, ensuring every child felt seen, celebrated, and cherished.
We did not just bring gifts—we brought an experience. The children went on a Lakbay Aral (educational trip) to Intramuros, the historic walled city just a short distance from their neighborhood. For many, it was their first time stepping inside Fort Santiago, where stories of the nation’s resilience and identity came alive through guided tours and interactive storytelling.
It was amazing to see their faces light up as they learned about the country’s history. They asked questions, shared stories of their own, and walked around like little historians discovering their roots. It was not just a field trip—it was empowerment through education.
After a day of exploring and learning, the celebration continued with a vibrant kiddie party at Jollibee—complete with burgers, fries, sundaes, and, of course, lots of laughter. Games were played, prizes were won, and the room buzzed with pure, unfiltered joy.
Perhaps the most heartfelt moment came when each child received a Christmas package thoughtfully packed with toys, clothes, shoes, school supplies, snacks, and grocery bags to help their families prepare a Christmas Eve feast.
For these kids, Christmas is not about extravagance; it is about feeling safe, included, and loved. Providing them with that experience made this day genuinely unforgettable.
This outreach was more than a corporate social responsibility activity. It was a reflection of who we are at AMCO: a team that values community, connection, and making a difference, no matter how small it may seem.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our European and Manila colleagues, local donors, friends, and families whose support made this event possible. Together, we did not just hand out gifts—we gave hope, inspiration, and the message that these children matter.
The heart of this outreach belongs to our Department Support Team (DST)—the everyday heroes who turned a generous idea into an unforgettable day of joy.
